Oct 2024 Halloween Bank Holiday weekend Training

Save the date Saturday 26 to Monday 28 October  2024 (Bank holiday weekend)

We are thrilled to announce that Lough Derg Yacht Club, led by Chris, Luke, and the brand new 420 Team, will be hosting this year’s annual Autumn Training Camp. This is a fantastic opportunity for sailors new to the 420 class to learn the basics, and for seasoned crews to refine their skills and prepare for the winter season.

The camp will feature an experienced coaching team, including Riccardo de Felice, Cara McDowell, and Tom Mapplebeck. Riccardo, the Irish 420 Open European Team Coach from this summer, brings a wealth of international experience across 420, 470, and 49er classes. Cara, our most experienced 420 National Coach, has represented Ireland in 420s at the Euros, Worlds, and ISAF events. Tom is a familiar face and needs no introduction!

We encourage early registration to assist the team at LDYC in organising safety and hospitality. Please note that the entry fee will increase by €20 after Monday, 14 October 2024.

Entry is per boat and covers both sailors for the full 3-day camp.
