Event Booking Policy
All sailors participating in Irish 420 Class Association events must be current paid up members of the Irish 420 Class Association (or equivalent 420 class association of another country)
Payment in full is required at the time of booking any events, training course, coaching session or boat hire.
Irish 420 Class Association is committed to ensuring that your child is always safe. Irish 420 Class Association will cancel “on the water” activities due to heavy rain, lack of visibility, or excessive winds. The session may be replaced by off the water shore drills or classroom based sessions.
Should Irish 420 Class Association cancel an event due to adverse weather, equipment failure or otherwise, your booking will be transferred to another day and as availability allows for both parties. If we cannot reschedule, we will issue a full refund.
If the booking party cancels a course or boat hire agreement less than 4 weeks prior to its start date, he/she will not receive a refund of fees paid. This is because coaches are reserved based on the number of entrants expected and will need to be paid in full.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights please contact us on email@example.com
Insurance : Extract from Irish Sailing requirements
Boats: Privately owned sailing boats: The organisation should receive confirmation that all privately owned boats being used on courses and activities carry third party marine liability insurance for not less than €1,270,000. This would normally be done through a declaration on the booking form. As it is necessary when running training courses and activities to switch crews in and out of boats; Do check that the marine liability cover is still in place when the “owner” is not helming the boat or on board the boat.
