Currabinny Cup 05/07/09

The Currabinny Cup this year was hosted by RCYC over the weekend of 4th + 5th July.  Entries where low this year compared to last year due to a number of boats competing out in Lake
Garda at the 59th Intervela.

9 boats ventured out into cork harbour with Race Officer Paul Tingle and Andrew Lane running 6 races over the two days.  The conditions where wild with sun, rain and wind but all competitors
experienced some great racing on some great courses.

Final results saw Richie Harrington and Robbie English taking the cup which was closely contested by Katie Tingle and Sean Murphy, Jamie Aplin and Jack Burke firmly on their heals.  With results up and
down in the fleet with, it was down to the last race of the event to determine the over all winner of the event.
